DESCRIPTION: Registration opens soon for the 30th Annual McHenry’s Soberfest (22-24 Nov\, 2019)\, which is being held at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva\, WI\,  \n\nMcHenry’s Soberfest\n\n\n“How It Works”\nNovember 22-24\, 2019\n\n\nMcHenry’s Soberfest is an annual conference put on by the McHenry’s Soberfest Group of Alcoholics Anonymous Northern Illinois Area 20. If you are wanting to talk to someone about yours or a loved one’s drinking or drug use\, please see the links to our Friends. \nMcHenry’s Soberfest has meetings and activities for AA members\, Al-Anon members\, Alateens\, and our guests.  There are AA and Al-Anon speakers Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday.  Join us for our Saturday evening banquet and speaker.  Even if you don’t register for the banquet\, you can still hear all the speakers and dance the night away.  There are even shops with recovery related jewelry\, clothing\, and literature. \nAlcathons and Alanonathons \nFriday\, Saturday and Sunday Speakers \nSaturday Night Banquet\, Speaker\, and Dance \nPanels\, Fellowship \nAA and Al-Anon Archives \nAA and Al-Anon Literature \nHospitality Suite \n11th Step Prayer & Meditation Room \nStep Workshop \nRecovery Gift Shops \nWe welcome behavioral health professionals\, members of other recovery programs who find strength in AA’s 12 Steps\, guests who are interested in recovery programs\, and all our family and friends! \n“How It Works”\nThe theme of the 30th Annual McHenry’s Soberfest is “How It Works”. “Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path…” Our 2019 logo ties in to the first sentence of Chapter 5 – depicting a path of the 12 steps… — “Alcoholics Anonymous” (AA’s Big Book) Chapter 5\, ‘HOW IT WORKS\,’ pg. 58 \nWant to help plan for the 30th Annual McHenry’s Soberfest?
