You’re invited to our Inaugural Independence Day celebration along Riverside Drive Promenade!
Come out with your friends and family support your club, enjoy Elgin and the Grand Victoria’s free concert and the fireworks show on the Fox River as we serve Food, Fellowship and Fun to celebrate Independence and Freedom on July 4th – B.Y.O.C (Bring Your Own Chair!)
Join us for an evening of sobriety and recovery! Our festivities will be held in the roped off rear EAC parking lot area and along Riverside Drive Promenade. We will have the interior of the club open, tables setup outside for dinning and will be raising monies by selling Monster Drinks and Trinkets to the general public. Suggested Food Donation $3 Members, $5 Non-Members & Kids are Free!

Additional Elgin Activities for Monday, July 4th, 2016
- The 2016 City of Elgin and Downtown Neighborhood Association’s (DNA) Fourth of July Parade begins with an All-American Pooch Parade at 8:30am.
- Then, stepping off at 9am the “Going for the Gold” 2016 Fourth of July parade begins!
- The Parade Route is Along Douglas Avenue – From Slade Ave to the north and ending at Highland Ave to the south. Bring your own blanket/chair to enjoy the 2+ hour parade with over 100+ entries – enjoy the large trucks, creative floats, music, dancing, BMX bike stunts, cheerleaders, tumblers, marching bands and all the other entertaining acts and floats!
Downtown Elgin is open for business!
Many of the shops and restaurants are open to welcome the community! After the parade stop by Soulful Sparrow, Elgin Antiques & Uniques, and our many other unique shops, or make your way to Side Street Studio Arts for their 3rd Annual Americana Jubilee, which will feature a pie-eating contest, dunk tank, and many other fun family-friendly activities.
From there, take a stroll along Elgin’s Riverside Drive Promenade, along the scenic Fox River, and then make your way to Festival Park, where the Grand Victoria Casino will continue the tradition of their Summer Concert Series! Then, sit back in your seats and enjoy the GVC Fireworks display in Downtown Elgin! It will prove to be a spectacular event!

- The Grand Victoria Concert starts at 5:30pm (admission fees apply for Festival Park)
- Fireworks will be deployed from National Street bridge at approximately 9:30pm – the fireworks show/viewing is FREE along Riverside Drive Promenade, bring your blanket and chair!
- Plenty of Free Parking in Downtown Elgin!
